Emerald Thinker Gallery

Accessibility

Our commitment to a more usable and accessible gallery experience for every visitor.

Commitment to Accessibility

Emerald Thinker Gallery is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We actively work to increase accessibility and usability of our site and to conform to applicable accessibility standards. As stated in the accessibility statement of Heva Unique

Art Gallery, we believe that all visitors deserve a seamless, dignified experience when browsing and purchasing artwork. Our goal is to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Conformance Status & Standards

Our website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and help make the web more user friendly for everyone. This standard is referenced by accessibility laws in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the European Union. We are continuously improving our accessibility as we build and update our digital presence.

Accessibility Measures

We have implemented the following measures to support accessibility:

Keyboard & navigation: We provide a “Skip to main content” link, full keyboard navigability, and visible focus indicators. All interactive elements (buttons, links, forms) can be operated using a keyboard alone. Dropdowns support arrow-key navigation according to AR-A best practices.

Dialogs & modals: When a dialog is open (for example, a cart or quick view), keyboard focus is contained within the dialog, and pressing “Escape” closes it. Focus is restored to the element that triggered the dialog when it is dismissed. All dialogs include appropriate AR-A roles and labels.

Forms: All form inputs have associated “ elements, required fields are clearly marked, and error messages are linked to inputs via `aria-describedby` and announced to screen readers. Invalid inputs are flagged and submit buttons indicate loading states.

Dynamic content & live regions: Search results and promotions are announced via polite live regions, and newsletter or form submission statuses (success, error, loading) are announced.

Semantic structure:

Visual design & motion: We maintain sufficient colour contrast for text, ensure text is resizable up to 200 % without loss of functionality, and respect users’ reduced motion settings by disabling animations. Interactive components meet minimum size guidelines.

Language & document structure: The page language is declared as English and each page has a unique, descriptive title.

Supported Technologies

Our website is designed to be compatible with major screen readers and assistive technologies, including NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, TalkBack on Android, and keyboard-only navigation. We recommend using the latest versions of browsers and assistive technologies for the best experience.

Known Limitations & Continuous Improvement

Despite our efforts, some areas of our site may not yet be fully accessible. For example, third-party payment forms embedded via iframes may not fully conform to WCAG, and some artwork images may have brief alt text. We are actively working to provide more detailed descriptions and improve third-party accessibility. If you encounter barriers, please let us know so we can address them.

Feedback & Contact

We welcome feedback on accessibility. If you experience any accessibility barriers, need content in an alternative format, or require assistance completing a purchase, please contact us via email or our contact form. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within two business days. If a requested accommodation cannot be made on the website, we will work with you to provide a suitable alternative.
