MODERN FARM TWO
Easton Cain
Original Watercolor · 30 × 22 Inches
$900 · One Original Available
Somewhere between nostalgia and imagination, an extraordinary world comes to life.
In Modern Farm Two, Easton Cain returns to the countryside and transforms it into something wonderfully unexpected.
Fields shaped by generations of work meet lush vegetation, expansive skies and the exaggerated natural forms that have become part of Cain’s distinctive visual language. What begins as a familiar rural landscape gradually becomes a world of its own.
Look closer and the landscape comes alive.
Small details reveal traces of the people who inhabit it. Cultivated land meets untamed nature. Paths and fields lead the eye deeper into the composition, while Cain’s luminous watercolor gives the entire scene an almost dreamlike quality.
There is nostalgia here, but Modern Farm Two isn’t simply about looking backward.
The painting explores the enduring relationship between people and the land—the ways we cultivate it, build upon it and leave our mark, while nature ultimately remains larger than anything we create.
As the second work in Cain’s Modern Farm series, the painting continues a visual conversation begun in Modern Farm One. Together, the two works form a connected landscape narrative, yet each exists as a complete work in its own right.
Two landscapes. One shared story. Two originals that can never be recreated.
